我们 WOMEN

Solo exhibition in Munich Germany (26. - 31.10.2024)

The theme of the exhibition is “我们 WOMEN”.

我们 (spoken “wo men”) means “we” or “us”. The title is a play on words, but it also expresses the artist's desire to tell some of the stories and show the beauty and struggles of us women.

“我们 Women”, is an exhibition dedicated to the beauty, strength, and narratives of women. It is presented in three series, each highlighting a distinct perspective on the theme.

The first series, Three Daughters of China, portrays three generations of women in my family, reflecting on tradition, perseverance, and achievement.

The second series, Spring River, Flower, Moonlit Night, takes inspiration from a classical Chinese poem. Across five paintings, it explores the cultural and poetic dimensions of feminine beauty and strength.

The third series, Self-Portrait, conveys my personal journey as a woman living in a foreign country. These works reflect the joys, challenges, and emotions that have shaped my life in Germany.

An art gallery with the artist standing in the center, surrounded by colorful paintings on the walls. The gallery has gray walls, spotlights on the ceiling, and a glass door at the back.
One wall was adorned with various abstract paintings and portraits, including a reclining nude figure, a portrait of a screaming woman, and an abstract work depicting birds and colorful shapes.
Four abstract paintings on a gray gallery wall, each signed "T. Lin" in the lower right corner, featuring colorful, swirling designs with varying shapes and patterns.
View through a glass window showing people at an art gallery or event, with a table in the foreground displaying assorted baked goods like cookies and croissants, along with promotional flyers and brochures for an exhibition.
Tu Lin and a group of art lovers were at her art exhibition, where vibrant paintings adorned the walls. They held champagne glasses and engaged in lively discussions.
